Lately, I’ve been experimenting with making my own glazes — blending colours inspired by the coastlines I love most: Banks Peninsula, the Marlborough Sounds, and other places where land meets sea.
Soft greens, ocean blues, and sandy tones layer gently over porcelain clay, creating a finish that feels both calm and familiar. Each mug is my way of bottling up a little piece of those landscapes.
No two mugs are the same. Each one varies slightly in its glaze pattern and size, making it as individual as the coastline that inspired it.
